Pulsing Rhythmic Bodywork
One of my favorite approaches, Pulsing Rhythmic Bodywork, or simply Pulsing, is a truly delightful experience, whether giving or receiving.
Pulsing originates from the field of body-psychotherapy, which recognizes that individuals often develop patterns of tension and holding in the body, usually beginning in childhood, where emotional experiences can become ingrained in our physical form.
Nurturing, gentle and deeply relaxing, Pulsing isn't your typical 'treatment'; rather, it provides an opportunity to experience greater connection with your body, its natural rhythms and your emotions.
Through rhythmic rocking of the body and mindful limb movements (such as stretching and bouncing), Pulsing highlights areas where physical tension has accumulated, gently coaxing them into a state of release. Creating more space by encouraging the body's structure to open up in turn creates space around trapped emotions which can then be acknowledged and liberated.
This method not only induces deep relaxation but also imparts a revitalizing energy, offering an experience that is both soothing and invigorating and providing a comprehensive sense of well-being.
Carried out on a massage couch, with the client wearing comfortable (loose or stretchy) clothing, practitioners tailor the approach to align with the client's needs, delivering an experience that ranges from deeply tranquil and nurturing to more lively and energetic - or even both within the same session!
Sessions last for around 90 minutes (of which 60 minutes is hands-on Pulsing time) and cost £50.
Although Pulsing is an amazing form of bodywork, there are a few conditions for which it might not be suitable. Please get in touch to have a no-obligation chat before booking a session.
